Taipei City 2026 STEAM Cross-Disciplinary Competition

I. In accordance with the "Taipei City 2026 STEAM Cross-Disciplinary Competition Implementation Plan".

II. To cultivate students' creative design, collaborative creation, cross-disciplinary problem-solving, and STEAM literacy in our city, and in conjunction with the "World Rube Goldberg Competition" county/city/district preliminary rounds and the "Smart Car National Competition," the aforementioned competition will be held. Key information for this competition is summarized as follows:

(I) Participants: Students currently enrolled in public and private high schools, vocational high schools, and below in our city for the 115th academic year (including national schools and students in non-school-based experimental education). Competition Venue: Longshan Junior High School, Taipei City (Address: No. 46, Nanning Road, Wanhua District, Taipei City).

(II) Competition Time and Categories:

1. "Building Mechanism Category": Saturday, October 31, 115.

(1) Mechanism Integration Competition: Divided into basic and advanced groups, for elementary and junior high school divisions.

(2) Building Maker Cup: Divided into elementary and junior high school divisions.

2. "Dragon Boat Race Category": Sunday, November 1, 115. Divided into junior high school and high school/vocational high school divisions.

3. "Smart Car Category": Monday, November 2, 115. Divided into elementary and junior high school divisions.

(III) Competition Registration:

1. First Stage Registration: From 9:00 AM on Monday, September 14, 115, to 4:00 PM on Wednesday, September 30, 115. Team leaders should register on the Taipei City Technology Education Network (https://techpro.tp.edu.tw). The list of teams successfully registered in the first stage is expected to be announced on Thursday, October 1, 115.https://techpro.tp.edu.tw），預計115年10月1日（星期四）公告第一階 段報名成功隊伍。 

2. Second Stage Registration: If the number of registered teams does not reach the maximum capacity, a second stage of registration will be opened from Thursday, October 1, 115, to 12:00 PM on Thursday, October 8, 115.

3. For students in non-school-based experimental education, if they are enrolled in junior high school (or below), please have their registered school assist with the registration. For high school/vocational high school students without registered school enrollment, please contact the Taipei City Experimental Education Innovation and Development Center for registration.

(IV) Team Leader Meeting: To be held on Friday, October 16, 115, at Longshan Junior High School. The team leader meeting and competition day activities will be separately notified by the organizing school, Longshan Junior High School. Please grant participating teachers and students official leave (or substitute leave) to attend.

(V) The list of winners will be announced on the city's Technology Education Network. Additionally, the top 3 teams in the junior high and elementary school divisions of the "Building Mechanism Category" will represent our city in the "2027 World Rube Goldberg Competition Taiwan and World Finals." For the "Smart Car Category," based on competition results, up to 5 teams each from the elementary and junior high school divisions may be recommended to participate in the "2027 Smart Car National Competition."

III. This competition and the Information and Communication Technology Robot Competition are key events for technology education in our city. Please encourage teachers and students to participate enthusiastically. Each municipal elementary and secondary school should register for at least one competition.
